Lots of catching up

Hi Ya All!!
This is going to be a bit backward since we are so so far behind in our blog. Right now we are in Palmul. This is between of Playa Del Carmen and Tulum. We are in a very nice park, and I will show you all pictures when we update again. Right now I am going to go backwards. We do not have any pictures posted of palmul yet, but I promise to take some tomorrow and will ask chuck to post them. He has spent a couple days getting these to post. Some days the blog just does not want to behave.
Chetumal to Paamul

We are now in the land of beautiful water. DeeDee is VERY happy.

Tulum:
Sorry, no pictures here yet. Chuck will post them later, and then I will tell you about it.

Yax Ha RV Resort.

First, a preview of my life with Pancho. Now, everyone thinks he is such a sweet little puppy. So full of love and devotion and trust......Here is the REAL Pancho Viva!!

First he sticks his nose between my pant legs....notice the teeth....the nose wiggleing back and forth.....one ear up in the background listening to any sounds he can hear!!

AND THEN CHOJO DOG!!! Notice the blind fury eyes!!! The nose flared out to sniff beyond reasonable sniffing and my god!!! The teeth!!!

Yep, this is my darling sweet little puppy letting his mommy know how much he love's her. He is only here to protect and serve her. Yeah right!! He wanted to play, I wanted to read. Lucky I had my camera close so I could document this abuse.
Now, onward with the park.
We stayed two days at this park. It was very pretty. However, expensive for what you got. It was $30.00 per night with only electric. No place to dump your tanks, no water.

This is the bay with the restaurants on the side. I was going to go swimming in there until I was told it is polluted with sewage. The Mexican people dump there sewage in there from the houses. Bummer man!!!

This is a sunrise looking over the cannon over the bay. Very pretty is it not!!

My kids know how much I love suns. These chairs are so cool. They have these little tables and different kinds of chairs all over the back of the park so you can enjoy the view. Good thing for no dumping tanks and thirty dollars a night.......

This is another shot of the sunrise (yes, I deedee took these pictures, not chuck, I do get up early sometimes!!) Once again a nicely place little chairs and table and palupa to enjoy your view. (Did I mention it was $30.00 a night with no dumping??)

These flowers were beautiful.

I also like lillies. I liked there sign for the bathrooms. Oh, the bathrooms were beautiful. Big, tiles and clean. The shower had Dolphins on the glass door. It was so inviting, I decided to take a shower in them. I even shaved my arm pits and leggs!!! Oh, the only bummer side. Not a drop of hot water. Cold shower. Oh well.

I liked this one for the guys bathroom. Chuck says that the mens shower had really hot water. Guess the guys stoled our hot water. However, there bathrooms are not as pretty as ours. They had plan white toliet's and sinks, we had a dark purple/Maroon color's. They also had tan and white tiles, we had dark tan and Maroon color.

Palenque to Chetumal.

Palenque:

This place is so cool. It was a ruin discovered about 1960's. They are the most complete ruins that have been discovered. They are not as well visited as the ones on the Yuctan, so you can get up close and personnal.

How is that for a church. This was one of the places of worship. notice the long stairs. That is so spirits can not climb up there and bug the gods.

This was another temple. This place is big. We are talking big area here. Wait until you see the beauty these people got to live in.

I have to say that walking where people built there homes, temples and lived lives hundreds and hundreds of years ago just amazed me. I felt in awe to be stepping on the same stones, and walking on the same ground that another culture of people who had lived there before had built. This place has survived hundreds of years so that people like me can be in awe of their contractors. Try and get a contractor to build like this anymore. NOT going to happen.

Another shot of a temple.

This is a houseing development. That is me there!! I thought this place was so neat.

These are air ferns growing on the trees. And to think, we pay for these in a store and out here they are free!!! They get really big to.

This lady is very typical of what the people look like. She is also selling some really cool leather myan stuff. The venders were all over the inside of the park.

This is the GRAND Temple. We could not go up there. Chuck could not of made it anyway as we had done some hiking like you would not believe.

This is the housing for the priest and the high up people. Even back then there were rich people and not so rich.

Look close at these plants. I have to tell you the picture does not do justice, one of us should of been stading under these things. yes, under them. They are normal house plants that are HUGH. Tropical does that. heck, there is a cotton plant by us now that is seven feet tall. In the tropical regions these things take off like you would not believe!!

This is a beauty of a waterfall. I would of like to of gone in there for a swim, but the signs said no swimming. The water is so clear and beautiful. Imagine being a native there and taking your baths under that fall. You know people did that.

This is the same fall, only at a different angle, and up the falls more. This fall went down lots of different tiers.

This is the bottom of the falls. This was called the queens bath fall. I can see why. Actually, if you look right in the middle of this picture it looks like the side view of a queen. Notice the face, neck and water falling off her breast??

Villahermosa to Palenque.

Very nice to have a short drive day. Only about 3 hours. Found the park Los Leones Hotel, Restuarant, and Trailer Park we were looking for and set up(Stayed 2 days). Barley got done and in comes 2 more rigs. Very nice people. They got all set up and went to lunch at the resturante on site. A few hours later in comes a Caravan, 21 in all....Another mess. Mud and all.........The place is now packed but they all got in, after a couple managed to get stuck then unstuck. A few of the ones we talked to were not happy at all to be on the caravan and some were very unhappy about the condition of campgrounds they stayed in....They thought they were going to be staying in some luxury U.S. RV Park's I guess....They were not ready for what they found.

Later we met 3 neat couples from San Diago who we got to chatting with and found out that they were going the same direction as us. We decided we would travel together for a couple of days. What a bunch, we are having a blast with them.

Salina Cruz to Villahermosa:
This was actually one of the better travel days, as the roads were good. We managed to hit 55 mph a few times. Before getting into VH we encountered 3 Quota's (Toll Roads) the middle one of which was one of the worst roads we have been on in Mexico. I think that they should have paid us to use it. We stayed at the " Recreativo El Gordo Y San Pancho (3 days)" RV park which was pretty muddy as it had rained recently. It was to cold to use there swimming pool, and that made Dee very sad. The next day we went into town and visited the " Parque de la venta" which is a walk around park. After we spent a few hours there we had lunch, a couple of wonderful Tacos from a street vendor. They were Great. Then we went to Sam's club and Walmart for some shopping of needed goods. There were some people selling puppies and DeeDee thought of getting Pancho a sister, but decided one kid is enought. That afternoon the clouds opened up and gave us a taste of a tropical rain to the tune of about 3 hours. Major rain here we are talking about. Sometime after the rain came a Caravan of 25 RV's What a mess that was. I think it took close to 2 hours to get them all in and parked.....MUD....Mygod was there mud!!!!

Parque de la venta:

These monkeys are so cute. The babies are so darling. Makes me glad I do not have one however as they are into everything. The mama's are very good mama's.

This is one of the artifacts there in the park. All these artifacts are real one's that were dug up and moved here to keep them from further damage from people. They were moved in 1950 by an explorer.

This is not an artifact, but a beautiful parrot. I love Parrots and this one was so pretty.

Another artifact. They are so well preserved.

This is such a beautiful fountain. Made of some sort of metal.

Santiago Penotepa Nacional to Salina Cruz:

Spent the night at the Salina Cruz Harbor Masters parking lot
We arrived in Salina Cruz very late in the day and were tired. We traveled through town down to the water front. Pulled into the Harbor Masters parking lot to get info on where we could stay the night. Talked to the local policia and were told that we could spent the night there. Parked the rig out of the way, and called it a day.
Again, for DeeDee a bad sleep night. There was a bar that at 11:30 got into full swing. Music blasting until two in the morning. Pancho and I got up and watched them make fools out of themselves, but stayed in the RV so as not to draw attention to ourselves. We were happy to leave there.

Acupulco to Santiago Penotepa Nacional :

Found a PEMEX in Santiago Penotepa Nacional We had to park under some trees that ended up being the roosting spot for what seemed to be a million birds.....They all needed the banjo in the night so they covered the RV and truck.....What a mess.
No pictures here and it was a long ass driving day. We were tired and went to bed soon as it got dark. Course, with all the birds yacking all night, I (the wife) did not sleep well at all. Poor Chuck, Driver man, was so tired he was out like a light. We got up very early and hit the road again.

Acupulco.

Busy, Busy place. Man, what a scene!! I have to say that FOR ME, MY option, I would of hated to spend the money to fly out to a place I thought was going to be wonderful just to be let down. The beaches you can only swim in at the cove in the tourist section, (in the tourist section is where all the boats tie up in. Pollution. Also, the beach is so filled with people it is packed like ants, and there is a fish market there to. Smelly) that is unless your an EXCELLENT swimmer and can swim out of rip tides with the greatest of ease. That is what the rest of the ocean around Acupulco is like. Pounding waves and rip tides. Not good for DeeDee's. Even DeeDee's know danger when it is right in front of their face. (not to mention all the signs on the beaches)
We went into the town for a geo cache. I am not going to tell anyone where it is, but we took some neat pictures!!
Below is the Hard Rock cafe.

You have to look hard at this picture, but that is such a cool dragon on this hugh guaitar. I think this Get-fiddle used to belong to Paul Bennon.

This is a beautiful church in a square.

This is the inside of the church. Your not suppose to take pictures, but chuck says the heck with that. He takes pictures.

This is what God does when you do not obey him and you take pictures in the church.

This is me by gods hand, and he is holding up the world for me. I did not take any inside pictures of the church.

So this is it for now you all. Give us a few days and we will post again. Love and peace to all.
Chuck, DeeDee and Pancho.
